Scheduling & Service Requests
Service appointments may be scheduled through our website, service request forms, phone calls, or other communication methods.

Submission of a service request does not guarantee appointment availability. All appointments must be confirmed by The Generator Guys LLC.

We reserve the right to decline, reschedule, or modify appointments based on technician availability, location, weather conditions, safety concerns, or other operational considerations.
Appointment Windows
Service appointments are generally scheduled within a service window rather than a guaranteed arrival time.

Arrival times may vary due to:
-
Traffic conditions
-
Weather delays
-
Emergency service calls
-
Changes in job duration on earlier appointments

When available, customers may receive a notification when the technician is en route.
Access to Property
Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the service location and equipment.

If technicians cannot safely access the equipment or property, service may be delayed, cancelled, or rescheduled.

Additional charges may apply if access is not available upon arrival.
Missed Appointments & Cancellations
Customers should provide advance notice if an appointment must be rescheduled.
If a technician arrives and:
-
the customer is not present
-
the technician cannot access the property
-
the service location is unsafe or inaccessible

the appointment may be considered a missed appointment or no-show.

A service call or trip fee may be charged to cover technician travel and scheduling costs.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may also be subject to a cancellation fee where permitted by law.

Repeated missed appointments may result in refusal of future service.
Estimates & Work Authorization
Estimates provided through the website, email, text, or scheduling platform are preliminary unless otherwise stated in writing.

Work will only begin after customer authorization through one of the following:
-
Digital approval through our scheduling platform
-
Signed written agreement
-
Email or text message authorization

Certain services may require acceptance of a separate diagnostic authorization, repair agreement, maintenance agreement, or rental agreement.

If a conflict exists between these Terms and a signed agreement, the signed agreement will control.
Payments & Invoices
Invoices may be issued electronically through our scheduling platform following completion of services or as otherwise agreed.

Accepted payment methods may include credit card, ACH, or other approved electronic payment methods.

Payment terms are specified on the invoice or service agreement.

Failure to remit payment may result in:
-
Late fees where permitted by law
-
Suspension of future services
-
Collection activity permitted under New Jersey law

Where applicable, ownership of installed components or rental equipment may remain with The Generator Guys LLC until payment is received in full.
Emergency Service & Weather Delays
During severe weather events, utility outages, or other emergency conditions, service schedules may be adjusted to prioritize customers experiencing active power outages or safety concerns.

Previously scheduled appointments may be delayed or rescheduled during these events.

The Generator Guys LLC shall not be liable for delays caused by weather conditions, natural disasters, utility outages, or other circumstances outside our control.
Service Priority During Power Outages
During widespread power outages or emergency conditions, service requests may be prioritized based on urgency, safety concerns, and operational capacity.

Customers experiencing a complete loss of power or generator system failure may receive priority over routine maintenance or non-emergency service appointments.

Previously scheduled appointments may be delayed or rescheduled in order to respond to urgent service needs.

Response times during emergency conditions cannot be guaranteed.
Equipment Safety
Technicians may refuse to perform service if equipment or site conditions present a safety risk.

Examples include but are not limited to:
-
Unsafe electrical conditions
-
Flooding or water intrusion
-
Gas leaks or fuel hazards
-
Structural instability
-
Obstructed equipment access

If unsafe conditions are identified, service may be delayed or suspended until the issue is corrected.

Trip charges or diagnostic charges may still apply if a technician has been dispatched.
